Devitalization - an original technique developed by Karel Fortyn, Czech surgeon, for therapy of solid malignant tumours, is experimentally studied in the Institute of Physiology and Genetics, Czech Academy of Sciences in Liběchov since 1971 year. Ascertained results are summarized that show therapeutic effect of devitalization without any health complication for treated animals. Thus, it is believed that devitalization could be effective also in clinical human patients.
