Samples of commercial-grade isotactic polypropylene, both neat and nucleated with a specific .beta.-nucleating agent (N,N'-dicyclohexylnaphthalene-2,6-dicarboxamide), were exposed to annealing and UV irradiation. Structural parameters were assessed by X-ray diffraction. The differences between the effects of thermal ageing and UV degradation are discussed.

Vzorky izotaktického polypropylenu, čistého i modifikovaného specifickým .beta. nukleantem (N,N'-dicyklohexylnaftalen-2,6-dikarboxamid), byly vystaveny zvýšené teplotě a UV světlu. Strukturní parametry byly stanoveny rentgenovou difrakcí. Jsou diskutovány rozdíly v účinku tepelného a světelného stárnutí.
