The presented papers described the results of investigations of solar radiation and cosmic ray flux variability, primarily the impact of solar radiation variations and space weather processes on the lower thermosphere and lower ionosphere, mesosphere, stratosphere, troposphere, and also the role of solar activity in determining long-term trends of the greenhouse effect origin. There was a special emphasis in the workshop on results focused on the mesosphere. The papers dealt with experimental and observational results as well as theoretical results and results of numerical simulations.
