Creep is one of the most important factors determining the useful life of boiler structures in power plants. The chapter discusses the physical basis of the creep processes pointing out the key role of microstructural evolution and stability of creep-resistant materials.The various methods of predictive modelling of the creep processes and creep testing are also discussed.
