Publikace zachycuje životní příběh hudebního nástroje, hudebníka a špičkového sportovce německé národnosti Ericha Peukerta. Peukert je dnes v Jizerských horách posledním nositelem tradice hry na citeru, na nástroj dříve oblíbený zejména u německého etnika. Tato tradice zanikla s odsunem Němců z Čech po skončení II. světové války.Součástí knihy je DVD.

The publication tells the story of a musical instrument and its player, a top-ranking sportsman of German origin, Erich Paukert. Paukert today is the last bearer of the zither playing tradition, the instrument once popular mainly with the German ethnic group. The tradition disappeared together with the German resettlement after the World War II.
