[Electrodeposition apparatus for removal of metals from wastewater with preceding multistep extraction.]

Technical parameters: Navržená a otestovaná laboratorní jednotka je schopna deponovat Zn z vod po vypírce spalin z energetickém využití odpadů. Odpadní voda obsahuje vysoké koncentrace chloridů, které je nutné před samotnou depozicí vyměnit za sírany, aby nedocházelo k produkci HCl a Cl2. Toho se dosáhne ve třech krocích: Nejprve dojde k odstranění kovů ušlechtilejších než zinek pomocí tzv. cementace. Následuje extrakce Zn do organického rozpouštědla a dalším krokem je extrakce Zn z organického rozpouštědla do roztoku kyseliny sírové, za vzniku ZnSO4, který je podroben procesu elektrodepozice.
Economic parameters: Vzhledem k malému měřítku testovaného zařízení to nelze kalkulovat.
