    Technical parameters: Pulzy energetických laserů je možné použít pro opracování povrchů materiálů. Tím lze vylepšit parametry povrchu. Různé materiály mají různé absorpce v závislosti na vlnové délce dopadajícího záření. Pro opracování materiálů tedy může být výhodné použít svazky, které mají jiné vlnové délky, než jaká je základní vlnová délka laserového svazku. Vlnovou délku laserového svazku je možné změnit v opticky nelineárních krystalech v procesech generování druhé harmonické nebo generování součtové frekvence.
    Economic parameters: pro sestrojení funkčního vzorku byly použity komponenty v celkové ceně cca 2.000.000,-Kč
