Poloprovozní ověření odstraňování rtuti ze spalin pomocí elektrochemických metod.
[Semi-operational verification of mercury removal from flue gas by electrochemical methods.]

Technical parameters: Technologie je využitelná pro záchyt rtuti ze spalin. Jedním krokem je oxidace rtuti ve spalinách s cílem zlepšení jejího záchytu v absorbéru mokrého odsíření. V druhém kroku pak jde o elektroseparaci rozpuštěné rtuti ze suspenze absorbéru. Klíčovým faktem je, že přítomnost popílku v suspenzi výrazně zvyšovala energetické nároky, jeho přítomnost je tedy nežádoucí.
Economic parameters: Studie proveditelnosti ukázala relativně vysoké investiční i provozní náklady v porovnání s alternativními způsoby záchytu rtuti ze spalin. Hlavní částí ověřované technologie je separace rtuti rozpuštěné v suspenzi mokrého odsíření. V tomto kroku investiční i provozní náklady velmi výrazně závisí na koncentraci rozpuštěné rtuti. Pro úpravu kapalin s vyšší koncentrací rozpuštěné rtuti se tedy výhodnost této technologie může výrazně zlepšit a je zde tedy potenciál pro budoucí uplatnění principu a to případně i pro jiné kovy či polutanty.
