Description in English The Article is devoted to a new exposition of Byzantine Art in the State Hermitage, which has a valuable collection of Byzantine monuments. The Author gives an account of histories of ones of interesting monuments, of scientific expeditions of Russian researchers, of purchasing of valuable icons which will be investigated further.
