Description in English The study deals with the detailed history of the roof trusses in Čechy pod Kosířem. It points out the importance of preserved building constructions as useful material sources for artistic and historical research. Site findings and the results of dendro¬chronological dating of wooden elements of trusses reveal a more complex pro¬cess of adaptation of the building in the 1830s and 1840s. Not only did changes in ownership occur, but also changes in their own opinions on the resulting archi¬tectural appearance of the chateau took place during its neoclassical adaptation. Additionally there were changes in the participating masonry masters and archi¬tects. The investigated timber trusses thus document, in a similar way as preserved written sources do, the gradual transformation of the building in a so-called multi-layered planning process.
