The ambition of the meeting was to gather scholars interested in both testing and overgoing the historiographic borders, and in questioning the interpretative scheme of a feudal structure oriented top-down in favour of a network perspective. The final aim was to detect and discuss artistic, architectural and aesthetic discourses acting on a synchronic and diachronic scale across late medieval Europe.
