Description in EnglishThe essay reflects on how current political developments in Europe, raising the question mark upon fundamental values of liberal democracy, are changing our historical image and narrative of the 1989 democratic revolutions in Central and Eastern Europe. Further its asks what this change of perspective means for historical and pol-sci research of dictatorship and democracy.
