Inscenace tohoto titulu v Národním divadle v době nacistické okupace r. 1944 dokazuje, jak tento nesprávný předpoklad negativně ovlivnil umělecký výsledek. Description in English Euripides’ tragedy Ion looks as a seemingly apolitical title, suited to staging at a time when political circumstances restrict the composition of the theatre repertoire by many censorship rules. However, the production of this title at the National Theatre in 1944 shows how this wrong assumption and misapprehension of the play negatively influenced the result.
