W artykule poruszono problematykę mieszkańców Ziemi Hulczyńskiej (Hlučínsko) służących w czechosłowackiej armii na obczyźnie w czasie II wojny światowej. Ziemia Hulczyńska, do 1920 r. należaca do Niemiec, jest regionem specyficznym, zwłaszcza pod względem tożsamości narodowej. Miejscowa ludność słowiańska pozostała w dużej mierze lojalna wobec Niemiec, a postawa wobec Republiki Czechosłowackiej była bardziej obojętna, niż zakładały ogólne schematyczne ramy „historii narodowych”. Problem zderzenia tożsamości narodowej z lokalną, często nie-narodową, uwidacznia się tu jeszcze bardziej niż na innych terenach Śląska. Mimo to wielu miejscowych mężczyzn zaciągnęło się do czechosłowackiej armii na obczyźnie i tym samym wzięło udział w ruchu oporu przeciwko Niemcom nazistowskim. Artykuł przybliża zarówno konkretne liczby i inną faktografię, jak i charakterystykę poszczególnych przypadków i indywidualnych losów ludzkich.
Description in English
The article deals with the issue of the inhabitants of the Hlučín Region (Hlučínsko) serving with the Czechoslovak army-in-exile during the Second World War. The region of Hlučín, until 1920 part of Germany, is a specific region, especially in terms of national identity. The local Slavic population remained largely loyal to Germany, and the attitude towards the Czechoslovak Republic was more lukewarm than the general schematic frameworks of „national stories” presupposed. The problem of the clash between national and local, often non-national identity stands out even more here than in other areas of Silesia. Nevertheless, many local men enlisted in the Czechoslovak army-in-exile, and thus took part in the resistance against Germany. The article brings both specific numbers and other facts, as well as characteristics of individual cases and human destinies.
