Annotation	Energetické využití odpadů je jednou z klíčových technologií odpadového hospodářství, a to zejména pro využití směsných komunálních odpadů, jinak nevyužitelných odpadů či kontaminovaných odpadů v duchu hierarchie nakládání s odpady. Článek popisuje roli energetického využití odpadů v cirkulární ekonomice a jeho výhody a slabé stránky.
Description in English	Waste-to-energy is one of the key technologies for waste management, especially for mixed municipal wastes, non-recyclable wastes or contaminated wastes in the spirit of the waste hierarchy. Paper summarizes the role of WtE energy in circular economy concept and its benefits and drawbacks.
