    AnnotationThe present invention provides a composition for stabilization of polyethylene, consisting of a first component selected from the group comprising tocoferols, tocotrienols and 5 mixtures thereof, and of a second component which is a tetracycline antibiotic. Furthermore, the invention provides polyethylene comprising this mixture, preferably in an amount of at least 200 ppm, methods of production thereof, and implants for human or veterinary medicine comprising said stabilized polyethylene.
