Na příkladu několika vybraných historických narativů (Hedvábná cesta, mingské námořní plavby) sleduje, jak čínská kulturní diplomacie využívá manipulace s historickými událostmi k vytváření líbivého obrazu mírumilovné civilizace přinášející okolnímu světu světlo poznání a ekonomický rozvoj, čímž napomáhá prosazování zájmů ČLR v různých částech světa Description in English The chapter identifies culture as the crucial concept of the Chinese sinocentric world order which played a substantial role in China’s imperial past. It stresses the importance of this concept for our understanding of the cultural and public diplomacy effort of the PRC.
