Annotation	This text offers an overview of the thought and activitity of the College of Sociology (often known by its French name, the Collège de sociologie), led by Georges Bataille and Roger Caillois from its founding in 1937 until is dissolution in 1939. The text also considers the relationship between the College and the Surrealist Movement, to which several of the College’s members were close.
