AnnotationThe aim of the research is to develop suitable techniques for restoration of library and archival collections. Previous study revealed that coarse particles (>1 pm) derived from visitors’ activity can cover a greater proportion of the book surface in libraries. Penetration from the outdoor air is usually the most important source of fine particles (<lpm) in natu-rally ventilated libraries and archives.
