AnnotationEven though the free surface flows are of high importance in a number of engineering areas, they still pose a challenging problem from the point of view of
the Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling. In the present work, a Volumeof-fluid method (VOF) based open source CFD solver, interFoam, is used to study
properties of a gravity driven liquid flow on an inclined plate with respect to different plate textures. At first, the proposed model was validated against the available
experimental data. Then, effects of three different types of textures on the plate specific wetted area were evaluated.
