Expozice se uskutečnila na pozadí složitých historických změn – právní uznání SSSR ze strany Československa s sebou přineslo i změny politického charakteru. Autorka popisuje jednání pracovní komise a demonstrativní odchod z ní několika členů, jenž se snažili prosadit spolupráci ze SSSR, časové skluzy a samotnou výstavu. Ta se stala největší a nejhodnotnější ze všech výstav ruského umění v Československu. Díky zmíněným problémům neprávem byla podceněna a její význam v kulturních dějinách státu nebyl určen správně. Description in English The article is devoted to the Retrospective Exhibition of Russian Painting and Sculpture from 18 to 20 centuries. The Slavonic Institute in Prague and the emigrant from Russian empire Nikolay Okunyev organised this event more than 80 years ago. A historical context of this event was created with some complex political changes. The Czechoslovakia recognised legally the USSR in that time and changed its behaviour to the Russian emigration for the political reasons. The author investigates all circumstances concerning an activity of the working committee of the exhibition and a demonstrative resignation of its several members, who tried to enforce cooperation with the USSR, a derangement of terms. The article deals with the exhibition itself which can be account for the largest and most valuable of all exhibitions of Russian art in the history of Czechoslovakia. The historical and cultural value of Okunyev’s exhibition was unduly underestimated for the political reasons mentioned above. According to the author an importance of this event in the cultural history of the Czech State was not estimated properly.
