AnnotationThe article deals with the library of Giovanni Battista Massarengo, an Italian lawyer, composer and poet who worked in Rudolfine Prague at the beginning of the seventeenth century. The preserved part of his library (60 volumes) is scattered among the books of the Capuchin convent at the church of Our Lady Queen of Angels at Hradčany in Prague. Although this is probably only a part of the original library, it clearly shows the breadth of Massarengo’s interests.
