AnnotationTwo years lasting monitoring of C-14 in liquid effluents of two nuclear power plants with pressurized water reactors was performed in the Czech Republic. Method of radiocarbon determination with ability to distinguish dissolved organic and inorganic forms was used. Analytical results were processed by a statistical model and contribution of C-14 in liquid releases to total C-14 release and to the human effective dose were estimated. A long-term monitoring confirmed a minor impact of C-14 in form of liquid releases.
