Description in English Quentin Meillassoux tackles in his text the consequences, which for the philosophy had Hume’s critique of the searching for the metaphysical foundation of an induction. The result was that contemporary philosophy abandoned this kind of search for the real foundation of the connection between two facts and concentrated upon the description of an actual scientific practice done by an induction. Because of that, ontological problematics has been abandoned altogether. Contrary to that, Meillasoux proposes to get back to the solving of the ontological problematics but in quite different manner. This undertaking consists now not in the proof of the existence of the real connection but quite the contrary, in the positive proof of its nonexistence, which leads us according to Meillasoux towards the thesis of the radical contingency not only of all events but of the very laws, which govern those events.
