AnnotationThe aim of this work is to assess the application potential of 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium saccharinates (alkyl standing for butyl, hexyl, octyl, and dodecyl) ionic liquids in thermal energy storage. To this end, heat capacity and energy density was determined experimentally by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and oscillating-tube densitometry.
