AnnotationTerpenes and sesquiterpenes originate by natural processes from foliage and together with products of their photooxidation and ozonolysis play a significant role in secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation. SOA formed from terpenes show a high degree of chemical complexity and the mechanisms of their formation have not yet been fully elucidated. Physico-chemical properties of these compounds have not been extensively studied, so far. The aim of the work is to measure vapour pressures and surface tensions of selected terpenes and their aqueous solutions. The experimental values are compared with values predicted by COSMO-RS.
