Annotation	The paper explains different levels of transcription/transliteration of geographical names in various scripts and languages in Taiwan. After an introduction on languages and systems of romanization in Taiwan the author deals with: English exonyms of geographical names in Taiwan, exonyms based on Taiwanese aboriginal names and “old” and “new” exonyms in Taiwan.
