AnnotationVisualization of small cracks and other discontinuities in the near-surface zone of granitic rock structure after application of different cutting techniques is analysed in the paper. Two completely different methods of cutting of small rock testing specimens (diamond disc cutter and high-speed abrasive water jet) were compared. The effect of each technology on creation of secondary degradation of specimens which is not caused by natural processes was examined non-destructively by micro X-Ray Computed Tomography.
