Huby dlhovekosti, Ganodermy lucidum (Leskokôrka lesklá, Reishi), ktorá je používaná v čínskej medicíne po stáročia aj k liečbe nádorov, sú schopné u nádorových buniek vytvárať reaktívne oxidatívny radikály (ROS) a zmeniť rovnováhu medzi prooxidativním a antioxidativním systémom a vyvolať tak oxidatívny poškodenie DNA nádorových buniek, čím prispievajú k ich rýchlejšej eliminácii. Tieto účinky sú sľubné predovšetkým v kombinácii s cytostatikami. Description in English Natural extracts from so called „mushroom of longevity" Ganoderma lucidum, which is used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries for tumour´s treatment, are able create in tumour cells reactive oxygen species and change the equilibrium between prooxidative and antioxidative system and cause oxidative damage of tumour DNA. Those effects are promising mainly in combination with cytostatics.
