AnnotationA non-magnetic Yb2+ valence state is derived from magnetization, heat-capacity and electrical-conductivity measurements of polycrystalline compound in temperature range from 0.3 to 300 K and pressure range up to 3.2 GPa. Both, experimental and theoretical investigations confirmed a weak electron-electron correlations and a small electron-phonon interaction. No change of the state was revealed onder applied pressure.
