Comenius Subject RIV AB - History Institutional support FLU-F - RVO:67985955 Annotation Nikoli náhodou se zájem o studium historických forem hranice v evropské historiografii výrazně prohloubil v průběhu devadesátých let 20. století, kdy se zásadně změnila relevance evropských hranic, jejich mezinárodně právní status i praxe přeshraničního pohybu. Třicáté mezinárodní komeniologické kolokvium v Uherském Brodě navazuje na tato bádání a poskytuje prostor tematizacím hranice také proto, že komplex otázek, jež jsou s tímto pojmem spjaty, nabývá v současné době znovu na nebývalé aktuálnosti. Znovuotevírá je však současně ve snaze nahlédnout je z nových konceptuálních pozic, osvětlujících např. kognitivní aspekty vnímání a (kartografického) zakreslování hranic, praktické dopady na každodenní život v příhraničních zónách, způsoby reakce na přítomnost hranice, symbolické osmyslování a mytizaci hranice i způsoby jejího výtvarného a narativního zobrazování. Těžiště leží v období raného novověku, zejména době J. A. Komenského, které vneslo do procesů vymezování řadu nových aspektů. Description in English The interest in studies of historical forms of boarders rose enormously during the 1990s, when the relevance of European borders dramatically changed, as did their international legal status and the cross-border movement. It is an ambition of the 30th International Comeniological Colloquium in Uherský Brod to help continue such studies and offer a platform for examining the border phenomenon. The Colloquium tries to examine it from a new conceptual perspective that may cast new light, e.g., on cognitive aspects of the perception and (cartographic) notation of borders, practical impacts on the everyday life in the borderland, possible reactions to a presence of a boarder, symbolic import and mythology of a boarder, as well as manners in which it has been portrayed in art and literature. The focus of the conference is on the early modern period, especially on the times of J. A. Comenius when Europe underwent dramatic changes.
