AnnotationHigh-frequency (400-2500 kHz) magnetic oscillations are observed in L-mode confinement regime plasmas and plasmas with high runaway electron population in tokamak COMPASS. The plasma instabilities seems to be of Alfvenic behavior, despite no additional heating being supplied to the plasma. This phenomenon is compared to those of TFTR, MAST, Tuman-3M and AUG tokamaks and similarities are found, which helps to identify possile driving mechanisms of the instabilities.
