The plasma instabilities seems to be of Alfvenic behavior, despite no additional heating being supplied to the plasma. This phenomenon is compared to those of TFTR, MAST, Tuman-3M and AUG tokamaks and similarities are found, which helps to identify possile driving mechanisms of the instabilities.
