AnnotationComposite fibers based on the high density polyethylene (HDPE) matrix have been produced by a melt technology. Long vapor grown carbon fibers (VGCF) and carbon black spheres (CB) have been used as fillers. It is clearly shown by a number of experimental methods that the shape of the introduced nanoparticles strongly affects the sample morphology, fine crystalline structure and, therefore, material behavior under applied mechanical stress.
