AnnotationSupported Co3O4 catalysts were prepared by heating of the cobalt hydroxide synthesized electrochemically on stainless steel sieves and by heating of the commercial TiO2 pellets impregnated with cobalt nitrate solution; the catalysts were modified with potassium promoter. The comparable activities expressed as TOF were evaluated over the K-doped Co3O4 deposited on stainless steel sieves and K-doped Co3O4 grains which is connected with the absence of internal diffusion limitation as was confirmed by calculation of internal effectiveness factor. Mathematic model of ideal plug flow reactor was used for simulation of the catalytic reactor for N2O decomposition to compare catalytic performance of K/Co3O4 catalyst deposited on stainless sieves and TiO2 pellets. Simulation results showed that higher conversions can be achieved over the catalyst deposited on stainless steel sieves in comparison with TiO2 pellets.
