It is, however, not easy to evaluate these quantities in the complex plasma environment of the SOL, with a presence of a strong magnetic field and many particle-particle interactions. In our paper, we shall present the results of Φpl and EEDF measurements in the SOL of the ISTTOK tokamak. The measurements were performed using a newly designed probe head attached to the horizontal manipulator. The probe consists of two Langmuir probes, one oriented parallel and one perpendicular to the magnetic field lines in order to better evaluate the influence of the magnetic field on the EEDF.The current-voltage characteristics obtained Workplace Institute of Plasma Physics Contact Vladimíra Kebza, kebza@ipp.cas.cz, Tel.: 266 052 975 Year of Publishing 2016
