The paper consists of three interrelated parts, the first one dealingwith an analysis of the structure of regenerated brownfields, the second one confronting this with thestructure of the existing brownfields by means of a comparative analysis, and the third one analyzing thefactors of brownfield regeneration. The main types of functional transformation of space were identifiedand the factors that appeared to be significant determinants of brownfields regeneration were classifiedas the result.
