AnnotationIn various oscular diseases or injuries, oxidative stress plays an important role. Oxidative stress leads to the abundant pro-inflammatory cytokine generation, activation of proteolytic enzymes and enzymes that generate nitric oxide. This leads to reactive oxygen product induction and tissue damage.
