AnnotationFundamental considerations and practical applications of various microextraction techniques for pretreatment of samples with complex matrices are summarized in this lecture. Special emphasis is devoted to electrically driven microextractions, such as electromembrane extraction across supported liquid membranes, their down-scaling to micro- and nano- format and their applications in capillary electrophoretic analyses of biological samples.
