The soft-sphere approach with Hertzian description of contact forces is applied in the modelling. The aim of this work was to connect dynamic behavior of flow patterns with global mixing characteristics and to predict the best blade rotational speed for the most effective radial and axial homogenization. In addition effect of bed depth on the effectiveness of homogenization is also analyzed.
