AnnotationAtomization of bismuth hydride in a planar quartz dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) atomizer was optimized and its performance compared to that of a conventional quartz tube atomizer (QTA). Modification of the inner surface of the DBD atomizer using dimethyldichlorsilane (DMDCS) improved the sensitivity by a factor of four.
