    AnnotationA novel concept of electromembrane extraction downscaled to a micro-format is presented. In this set-up, free liquid membranes are applied, which are not anchored in any supporting material and their dimensions can be precisely defined. Application of the novel concept to pretreatment and analyses of basic drugs in common biological fluids is demostrated.
