Description in English Using spatial analysis of the distribution of the forest fires and habitat characteristics (relief, vegetation anthropogenic factors) in the area of the National Park Bohemian Switzerland we tested which of the factors are responsible for the fire incidence. The factors the most important were the landscape relief and vegetation composition. Distance to the nearest settlement and road was only negligible. However, in the official reports of the fire brigades, the anthropogenic causes (e.g. campfires, cigarettes) were declared to be the principal for the fire frequency, while lightening was supposed to cause only 3% of the forest fires in the area.
