The cells, that are able to create bone or neuronal tissue, selectively colonize oxygen-terminated (hydrophilic) diamond surface. Crucial parameter is initial concentration of cells and of fetal bovine serum in the medium. Diamond can be also morphologically structured. Diamond can be natural or synthetic on arbitrary substrate. Concentration of dopants in diamond is not limited.
