AnnotationMagnetic susceptibility provides information on the tissue relative iron concentration that is useful for diagnosis and treatment of a number of diseases such as sickle cell disease, aplastic anaemia, thalassemia, haemochromatosis and Parkinson´s disease. In magnetic resonance imaging, the susceptibility effects have Essentials relevance for imaging contrast and artifact correction, functional brain imaging, molecular imaging and the measurement of blood oxygenation. Thus, it is highly significant to develop methods that can measure arbitratry susceptibility distributions.
