Artykuł ma na celu wyjaśnienie tego szerokiego pojęcia i zastosowanie go w odniesieniu do aktualnej situacji - wystawy sztuki północnokoreańskiej Kwiaty dla Kim Ir Sena. Zainspirowana pracami krytyków ideologii oraz teoretyków Louisa Althussera, Michela Pêcheux, Slavoja Žižka oraz Terryego Eagletona analizuje nasze spotkanie z radykalną "Innością". W pozornie ekstremalnej sytuacji kontaktu z agresywną ideologią reżimu totalitarnego stara się odnaleźć znajome zarysy naszej codziennej walki z Wielkim Innym, którego interpelacje stały się widoczną częścią naszej egzystencji. Przyjmuje ideologię w rozumieniu Althussera jako "reprezentację" wyimaginowanego stosunku jednostek do ich rzeczywistych warunków egzystencji. Postrzegana w ten sposób nie jest czymś historycznym, obcym i odległym, lecz wciąż obecnym i wciąż żywym. Stąd też tak zwana sztuka totalitarna nie powinna być traktowana jako szyderstwo czy groźba, lecz jako okazja ku temu, by wejrzeć w lukę naszego własnego systemu symbolicznego. Description in English Ideology is in contemporary post-communist society somehow mysterious term used basically to designate and error, naïveté, and misunderstandings of our modern history. This topic aims to explication of this wide term and its application to actual situation - the exhibition of North Korean art Flowers fo Kim-Il Sung. Inspired by works of ideology critics and theoreticians Louis Althusser, Michel Pêcheux, Slavoj Žižek and Terry Eagleton it analyses our encounter with radical "Otherness". In seemingly extreme situation of contact with aggressive ideology of the totalitarian regime it tries to find familiar contours of our everyday struggle with Big Other, whose interpellations are invisible part of our very existence. It constitutes ideology in the althusserian sense as "representation" of the imaginary relationship of individuals to their real conditions of existence. Perceived this way, it is not something historical, alien and distant, but ever-present and ever-active. Thus the so-called totalitarian art shouldn't be treated as a mockery or threat but as an opportunity to look in the gap of our own symbolic system.
