AnnotationSpherical gold nanoparticles (GNPs) were prepared by citrate reduction of a gold(III) salt and modified by a covalent attachment of two different derivatives of beta-cyclodextrins (CD). These particles were immobilized onto the inner wall of the fused-silica capillaries and applied as special stationary phases for open-tubular capillary electrochromatography (OTCEC). The separation performance of CD-GNPs modified capillaries was tested by OTCEC in reversed-phase mode applied to separation of a model mixture of five polyaromatic hydrocarbons
