AnnotationFirst set-up of the fiber laser interferometer with frequency stabilized DFB laser diode (Distributed FeedBack) is presented. We used the DFB laser diode at 760 nm wavelength with mode-hop free tuning range above 1 nm and with power at the fiber output up to 10 mW. To reduce the influence of the index of refraction of air, the design of optical set-up of the experimental interferometer is realized using fiber optics. Comparison of the frequency stability and the wavelength tunability for DFB laser diode and previously used VCSEL laser diode (Vertical Cavity Semiconductor Laser) is presented. Both laser sources were developed for laser interferometry, laser metrology of length.
