The first technique is based on ultrasound, and the second consists in analyzing the stress and displacement during the skin stretching. A small skin-loading, computer controlled device, equipped with ultrasonic, stress, and displacement transducers is attached to the human forearm by suction cups. Ultrasonic and mechanical parameters, recorded during programmed loading steps are related to the rheological model of the skin.
