AnnotationProtecting cultural heritage against natural hazards is suggested using an approach of making generalizations based on a ranking of historic structures, elements and situations according to their sensitivity to the effects of weather and natural disasters, and on established five categories according to the acting loads or environments. The wind effects, flood, landslides and weather in four groups - precipitation, rising damp, sunshine and material robustness - are studied and protecting strategies and measures suggested.
