Description in English A semantic analysis of an image in the initial of an entry antiphon of a manuscript of Prague´s cloister in Karlov and identification of texts, from which the symbology originates. Virgin Mary in Lady Day is introduced by means of picture metaphors as a chamber of Incorporated Word of God, whereas individual architectonic details of the illumination symbolize virginity and Mary´s virtues.
